The latest stats

Will had his 18-month check-up on Thursday (which was his 18-month birthday!!!!!!). Here are the latest stats:
31-1/2 inches tall
27 pounds
Head in 93rd percentile.
So, basically, he's short and fat with a big head. :-) He's growing steadily, has very healthy teeth, and has made nice progress in all areas on the checklist they gave (including gross motor skills, which surprised me). He had three shots and handled them quite well.
Most importantly, he's a happy, healthy boy! Hooray!

The talking husky!

Will doesn't usually pay much attention to stuffed animals, but his new talking and moving husky pup gets rave reviews. Thanks, Mary and Poppi! :-)

Yogurt

Yogurt also gets rave reviews from Will, especially Greek yogurt. He does well with a spoon, but I think he enjoyed playing with the texture this morning--and making a big mess! :-)

A moment with my baby boy

I bought Will some new PJs tonight and he couldn't wait to wear them! ;-) He was feeling unusually snuggly, so we cozied up on the couch for a bit--I was in my PJs too!

On the plane

Going back in time... this is the flight from Newark to Burlington on January 1st (after our rockin' New Year's Eve at Newark Airport). :-) It was a flight created just to get us stranded Vermonters home without making us wait another day, and it was only about 1/3 full. So I took 2 seats and Justin and Will sat across from me. Will LOVED looking out the window and eating his snack.

Will also loved the lights and sounds on the plane. He really is a good traveler. Nature or nurture? Or both? :-)
The tray table was a big hit.

Talkin' and Walkin'

OK, so he's not REALLY walking, but this a cute video. It has a dramatic fall at the end, but I cut that part out. It was just too sad to watch. (Will's fine, though.)

Winter beach time

It was so sunny and gorgeous yesterday! Cold, but a good day for a walk to our neighborhood beach. I got some good shots of Justin and Will. And there are a couple preggo shots of me in the next post...

Wrong light for a photo, but gorgeous vista!

Down the steps...neat ice formations in the water.

Daddy's soaking up the sun. Will loves his rock table!

Being boys...playing with sticks and stones.

34+ weeks!

I SQUEEZED into my winter coat yesterday. It's a cropped length ski jacket now. :-) It actually worked pretty well because it gave my belly some good support! I am measuring small right now...about 2 weeks behind my # of weeks. That was as of a week and a half ago. We'll see if that's still true at my 35-week appointment on Wednesday (oh my god...35 weeks--time is FLYING!). I'm just eating more and thinking good thoughts---grow, baby, grow! And it could just be the baby's position. If his head is lodged in the pelvis, it can cause smaller measurements.
Anyway, here I am:
On the "plateau" above our neighborhood beach. We had some high 30s temps last week and the snow started to melt FAST! Works for me...I didn't have to wear boots and 33 inches of snow was hard to walk through!
Same angle, different vista. On the beach. Wearing my new maternity jeans. I broke down and bought a pair that doesn't require constant adjustment...I do not like to be a low rider. So uncomfortable! My wardrobe for summer pregnancy was SOOOOOO much more comfortable!
I'll have Justin take some pics this week with fewer clothes on...nothing indecent, just without the winter gear! :-)

Sick babies

2010 has been a sick year for our family. Hey, it's only January 6th. Things have plenty of time to get better! First it was Justin, then Will, and then, finally, me. I missed three days of school this week and will return tomorrow. Yikes! Justin took Monday off to help me, since I was a pathetic lump. Will bounced back the fastest--he had the stomach virus on Saturday and kicked it by Sunday morning. Go Will! Anyway...I hope things are back to normal.
Here are some photos of my sick babies... Happy 2010!

A visit with Great Grandpa

I caught the nasty stomach virus that Justin and Will had over the weekend. I prepared a bunch of new blog posts last night and then ran out of steam to post them...So, I'm posting them now without comment so that everyone can see these pictures! Maybe I'll be able to add to them tomorrow if I feel well enough. Enjoy!
1-21-10
OK, I'm back to add some detail about what these pics are all about! When we were out in AZ, we got to see a lot of relatives. My grandpa is now in an assisted living situation, which is actually quite nice--and he likes it! My cousins and I (and the kids) went to visit him.
Will dressed up a bit to see Great Grandpa!

I'm so glad that my grandpa has been able to see Will several times, even though we live SO far away!

Will seriously ate almost the entire ice cream cone. I was amazed.

(back): Kerrie (my cousin), Kristin (Kerrie's sister, my cousin), me, and Will (17 months)

Zoo Lights

The Phoenix Zoo puts up all kinds of lights during the Christmas season. We went to "Zoo Lights" with Kristin and the girls. It was quite impressive, and since it was really mild there (in the high 50s--and it was nighttime!). Will seemed to like it!
Maxing, relaxing.

Kristin, Ava, and Julia

The Sorensons (all FOUR of us!) :-)

Will was distracted by the giraffe...it was talking, after all!

Random pics in AZ

The kids ate here every day, and it was really sweet to see them all together.

My Aunt Sue and Will on the putting green.

Will is blowing Ava a kiss!
Will loved Julia's glittery shoes. He doesn't see a lot of pink, purple, and glitter in our house...well, at least not as much as at Kristin and John's house!

The Bounce House!

Kristin and John actually own a bounce house. What fun! Will was tentative and wanted Justin there, but I think he'll be really into it when he's a little older. He had fun being bounced!

The Circus

We went to an Italian circus that was in town. It was kinda cute...but it didn't get wildly good reviews from any of us. I did capture a few decent photos, though!

Us.

Yup, dancing dogs.

Checking out the circus ring.
