The great diaper chase

I have several videos of Patrick walking, but I've had trouble uploading video for some reason. I finally got one to work. The boys were running in circles (literally) right before bedtime tonight. You might hear me "curse" at the beginning of this one because I thought I had been recording earlier. Sorry about that. :-) Enjoy!

Living outdoors

Now that the weather is finally nice, we're outside as much as possible. The boys are going to be good campers whenever we decide to try camping with them. They are much less fussy outdoors--fresh air seems to be the cause!

Patrick always wants to play with water...
Will's ready to move up to a two-wheeler anytime!
Even block building happens on our screened-in porch now...we moved some of the toy craziness out there. Now the toys really are EVERYWHERE!!!
Ahh...a late afternoon boat ride on Father's Day.
We usually see this view from that bridge!

Leaving the Winooski River, heading out to Lake Champlain!
Making Father's Day calls from the boat. :-)

This is how we roll....

Sometimes I don't think our daily lives are blog-worthy. We don't necessarily fill our days with lots of action and excitement! But, sometimes it's the simple things that make the best memories. In fact, they usually are. So, for posterity, here are some simple moments...

The boys LOVE our front yard, which makes it nice for me to weed, prune, etc. while they ride their bikes, play with the hose, etc.

Patrick helped me water our new window boxes (not yet in the window).
Look at this BIG BOY!
The girls across the street were eating popsicles, so Will needed one too. :-)

Excuses, excuses

The end of the school year kicked my a** this year! Maybe it's because it's the first school year in three years I have taught in its entirety (I was on leave the two years prior). Or maybe it's that we have two kids that are still REALLY young and needy and the hours after they go to bed are crammed with more school work, housework, etc. Or maybe it's just that I am a total overachiever in my professional life and have slacked in my personal life...at least electronically. Well, in any case, I am going to TRY to be back in blogland, but I said that in my last post. :-) Here are some snippets from the past few weeks. More coming once the video glitch is fixed (that one's Google's fault--not mine!).

Have I mentioned that our bathroom is a disaster zone? The MAIN bathroom! Yes, gutting it over Feb. break maybe wasn't our brightest idea. But now we are forced to actually get it done. Note the WHITE tub. No longer blue. The toilet is white too, but I have no cause to post a toilet photo (yet). The boys love the bigger, deeper tub. It sure beats the kitchen sink!

But, this week we are back to the sink since more construction is underway in the bathroom. I caught Will lounging in the sink. Well, he did the best he could!
Chips and guac. All he needs now is a  Corona. ;-)
Patrick and markers--dangerous and hilarious. Note the drawn-in eyebrow. He looks MAD!!!
I bought the boys patriotic chairs for the front yard. Cheesy, but cute.
