Will is getting much better about "tummy time." He used to HATE it! He seems to be interested in trying to scoot around and Justin reports that he is starting to roll over. I haven't seen it yet! His smiles are still very hard to capture. As soon as I take out the camera, he gets mesmerized and stops smiling. He often gets the deer-in-headlights look. Oh well, he's still cute even without the smile. But I'm telling you, he's a heartbreaker when he does smile!
Will was welcomed to this world on Monday, July 28th, 2008. His brother Patrick was born March 11th, 2010! This blog is to help family and friends near and far see our babies grow!

Chillin' on the countertop...
Will and I did our grocery shopping today. While I was putting away the goods, he was sitting in his "bumbo" chair calling out orders. "Work faster. Change my diaper. Feed me. Film me." You know, typical orders to Mr. Mom! But here's a more peaceful moment...

A whole different baby...
I just cannot believe how quickly Will has changed. Even just in the past two weeks, his hair has grown in darker, his eyes have widened, and his cheeks have gotten chubbier. I love it! But I can already tell that time will fly by--before I know it, he'll be in kindergarten! Things are fine with us. I did get in a fender bender this week (rear ended, not my fault), but thank goodness Will was not in the car. It was my second week back at work...I'm glad teaching is so fast-paced, because I don't have much time to dwell on how much I miss Will! And Justin is still LOVING paternity leave!
Here are some recent photos:
This is serious Will (seriously cuddly) before a nap.
Will loves hanging out in just his diaper! Sucking his hand is his latest obsession!
Peek-a-boo!
Smiling at dad!

Smiley Will
So I'm not much of a blogger....and I know this is Erin's thing....but I had to try putting this video up. You'll have to listen very carefully when I ask him for his words of wisdom...I got quite the surprise. :)

Will is 3 months old!!!!
Hi everyone! Will turned 3 months old on October 28th, and it was also my first week back at school (which explains why it's been so long since the last post on the blog!). School is going fine. I do miss Will when I'm gone, but Justin's at home now. That makes it much easier! But, I haven't been the relentless photographer as I was during my maternity leave. Maybe Will has enjoyed the break from the camera! In any case, here are some recent photos of sweet baby Will.
Will was bundled up on a recent walk on a cool, fall day. He looked so cute!
The Bumbo seat is a new addition to Will's accessories. He wasn't a big fan of it when I took this picture (obviously!), but he does pretty well with it overall. It gives him a different perspective on things!
His face is filling out. I LOVE the chubby cheeks! So kissable!
Will is SOOOOO expressive. He "talks" all the time and smiles a lot too! This shot was captured after a particularly enthusiastic conversation we had. :-)

A gorgeous fall day in Burlington...
After our trip to Arizona, we had a couple of BEAUTIFUL fall days back in our wonderful neighborhood. Yesterday, we took a walk on the bike path and the beach (both of which are minutes from our house, for those of you who haven't been here yet).
They tell us we missed the "peak" of foliage season, but it is still really colorful around here!
Awwwwww! That's a cute one, Daddy!
It was chilly, but Will handled it well!
Stroller Daddy!
We both love our BOB stroller and Justin has big plans for it during his paternity leave (which started Oct. 13). For starters, he plans to rig it up as a golf cart so he and Will can get out on the links! But yesterday we used it for its traditional use--a stroller that can go ANYWHERE!
By the way, two houses we'd love to own are in the background of the photo on the top right. Beachfront, baby!

Will's first hike
We took a fantastic hike in Sedona, Arizona last Saturday afternoon. It was an amazingly gorgeous day! We walked up into a canyon, which gave us a unique perspective of the Sedona landscape. In the past, we've hiked UP onto the rock formations, but we didn't think this would be very safe with Will in the Baby Bjorn! Notice how we protected Will from the sun...we might love to be tan, but we know a tan baby is probably not a great idea! :-)
More from the hike...
We hiked up to this rock formation. I climbed up to the sunny spot on the bottom left.
This is the view from that sunny vantage point. I know it's cliche, but pictures don't do it justice. It was incredibly gorgeous, even more so than it looks here!
Will was a good hiker...well, a good rider, I guess!
A few more pics from Sedona...
Daddy and Will enjoy the view as we get close to Sedona.
Mommy and Will enjoy the view of Sedona in the distance.
This was after our hike, and Will was pretty tired (even though he didn't do any walking)! :-)
We'll have to go back when Will is old enough to appreciate the views!

Water Will
Just like his mom and dad, Will seems to LOVE the water! Both Justin and I took turns with Will in the hot tub. This was Justin's turn to take Will for a dip in my cousin Kerrie's hot tub at her house in Phoenix. We stayed there last weekend while the rest of the fam was at a Jimmy Buffet concert in Vegas. We didn't think Will was ready for THAT yet! ;-)
More AZ pics to come (from our HIKE!!!) Stay tuned.

Live from Arizona
Hi everyone!
We are having a GREAT time in AZ, and we have LOTS of fantastic pictures to share. We've been spending time with family and Will has met lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and even his great grandpa! But I have been having a hard time getting the photos onto blogspot via a Macintosh computer in an efficient manner. So here are a few to tide you over until I get back to my own computer and can upload a photo album of our trip! We are here until next Wednesday and are planning to hike in Sedona tomorrow!

Will loves hanging out by the pool!

Will also seems to love warm water (this was taken in the hot tub--kept clean by a saline system-not chlorine!)

We took a nice walk in my Aunt Lynda and Uncle Tom's new neighborhood. It has great views of the mountains!

Will met his "cousin" Ava for the first time (my cousin Kristin's baby). She is 7 months old and very cute! They seem mildly interested in each other!

A few more trip pictures
It was chilly in the airport but Will did very well with the whole experience! He's a little travel bug!
Justin and Julia (my cousin Kristin's sweet little girl) became fast friends!
We went on a great bike ride around Kristin and John's neighborhood with Will in the carseat in the bike trailer! Fun!
Gotta love hangin' by the pool in October!
And a few more...
Will's asleep so I have time to post a few more pictures from our AWESOME ARIZONA TRIP!

Will really does seem to love being outside in the warm weather!

A multi-generational shot--me, my grandpa, and Will...we have some more great shots like this with my mom which I will post later! (I can only get the horizontally oriented photos to post properly!)

Grandma Chris can't get enough of her sweet little grandson!

Julia is very good at getting Will to smile. He seems to love little kids!

Will says hello!
Will is always in a super sweet mood when he wakes up in the morning. Especially after two consecutive 4-hour sleep cycles. Or maybe it's that I'm in a really good mood after getting more sleep and am more enthusiastic in my efforts to make Will smile. Anyway, these sweet moments are getting more and more common. I will really miss our relaxing days together when I return to work (October 27th)!

A family hike
We're leaving next Saturday for a trip to Arizona, so we figured we should get out and enjoy the Vermont fall weather while we're still here! We took a short hike around Indian Brook Resevoir this morning. Will seems to like the Baby Bjorn now that his head clears the top of it! It was gorgeous, but there are still lots of green leaves!
Will slept most of the hike. The top center picture is a sleepy smile just as Justin lifted him out of the Bjorn.
I love it when Will smiles in his sleep. He does this a few times in this video. Very endearing!
