More beach walking...

Pretty soon that single stroller in the background will be replaced with the BOB Duallie. Oh, yeah! Thanks, Mom and Mary!
A boy and his stick. ;-)
He's turning into such a little man!
Wonder what he's thinking about on his beach walk...

Caught ya!

I didn't really catch Will doing anything, but he looks so surprised here. I just think it's a cute shot. It was a pajama day that day. He's eating lunch in his PJs. :-)

Buddies and Before/After

Will was sick last week with a nasty cold/croupy cough, but he was still in reasonably good spirits. He and Peso love to hang out together, which is what you will see in the next two photos. Poor Will looks sick, but he managed to stay active!

Living Room: Before and after...

Before=yellow walls

After=tan/khaki walls. Now I need to choose window treatments...

He WALKS!!!!!!

March 1st marked the beginning of Will's upright adventures. Hooray! This has been a long-anticipated milestone, which even included bi-weekly physical therapy since late October. The PT has said all along that nothing was "wrong" with Will...he's just extremely cautious and tentative with gross motor skills. I guess she was right! He is still pretty slow when walking, but at least he's doing it! Soon, he'll be running, so I'll take the cautious walk any day!

Here's a short video...I sound stupid and a bit tongue-tied, but you've GOTTA see Will walking!!!

Our "snow day"

Have you noticed that there have been very few winter pictures on the blog? That's because we haven't had any snow this year, with the exception of the 33 inches we got just after the new year (which is when the whole family was sick with a nasty virus!). So, yesterday's 13 inches was a pleasant surprise. We went from ugly and brown to beautiful and white in just a few hours. I figure if we're going to have winter, let us have snow! But since we're on vacation, it wasn't an actual "snow day."

Justin and Will had fun in the ravine behind our house. So cute!
Peek a boo!
I love this one--we caught you, Will! Eating snow?
Our big boy who loves sticks!
I think Will had his fill at this point!

Will's favorite activity...

Will loves food, and he loves to eat. I haven't taken a lot of pictures lately, but I got a few today after his new haircut (see details in the next post). :-)
The appetizer tonight was cheese and crackers.

Stuffing his face...literally.

Plain spaghetti (whole wheat, of course), kept him calm while we scrambled to make the delicious entree--sweet potato and red pepper pasta.

Will's new room...in progress

Will got a haircut today with daddy at our favorite barbershop. I hated his last haircut, and it was from someone else because the line was too long at his normal place. So funny that Will has a barber already. :-) I love his hair short. We get it cut quite short every time, because it grows SOOOOO fast!
Anyway, we worked hard the last few days to get things set up in Will's new room, the new downstairs guest room, and in the nursery. Here are some pics of the work in progress. We got a hand-me-down crib from Christine and Felix and my brother's old twin bed (made by my Grandpa Maloney!). I plan to paint both of them, but I must wait until I am not hugely pregnant and the weather is nicer. The walls will be painted soon, but the living room/dining room gets priority. For now, Will is going to stay in his old bedroom (the nursery) anyway, as I don't want him to have TOO many transitions at once. The new baby will sleep in our room for a couple months anyway. But the clothes are in the right places now, which is kinda weird. Anyway... I LOVE the train bedding. It's just what I wanted. And I think I'm going with a lime green (a muted shade...nothing crazy) for the walls. And I found some very cool wall decals with trains and train tracks that seem easy to put up and take down. It'll be stylin'!!
Will really likes the higher sides on his "new" crib!

He's watching Justin, who's on the ground below being silly!
Choo choo!!!!
The twin bed is across from the crib. I plan to put a coordinating rug between the two and shelves with some of Will's books and toys in the room.

Relaxing...

This week was pretty tiring for me with two big events at school...so I needed some R&R. The couch felt REALLY good this afternoon. Will joined me for a cuddle after his nap. Unfortunately, his beloved cell phone (one of our old phones) had to join us. He just wouldn't have it any other way!

Clean baby

Will loves being naked in his crib after his bath. He reveled in his nakedness this morning until I managed to get a diaper on him.

My Belly

I had a LONG day, so no face shot here, but there's the bump...or mountain, depending on how you look at it. :-) I took this myself, as Justin is not home right now. I hit the 37 week mark yesterday! Full term! I look a bit cartoonish, I think. Skinny pretty much everywhere, except for this big ol' belly!

So funny...

Will loves exploring new places!

Getting in this basket is something he loves to do...and then he gets stuck and needs help to get out!
Will loves showing off his standing skills. His confidence is growing!

Can you get me, Mama?
(I think I forgot to focus on those last two, so they are fuzzy. Kinda artistic, right!?)

My big boy

I can hardly believe Will is playing with Playdoh and eating peanut butter sandwiches. He seems like a big boy now, and he'll really seem big when the new one arrives! Here are some pics of us getting ready for Valentine's Day. Will has PB on his face! :)
Playdoh and heart drawings. He loves to color, but I drew the hearts...

He wasn't so sure about having this sticker on his face.

But then he decided it was a kinda good idea!

He walked around with a heart stuck on his forehead for about 15 minutes after this! :-)

Choo choo!!!!!!!

Will got new bedding as a side bonus to having a new baby brother soon. He's moving to the big room and Baby Boy 2 will get Will's "old" bedroom and all the decor that comes with it. I have admired this quilt for a long time and finally just went for it! There will be a crib and a twin bed in Will's new room. This quilt is for the twin bed. I got the bumper and crib skirt for the crib. I may break down and buy the matching sheets, since this is all so cute!
Will loved the pillow even before I put the cover on it!
Silly face!

He crawled all over it, smiling and giggling. I'll take that as a good sign!
