Poppi, I need the photos from your camera! My camera was "dead" until the last few hours of Poppi's time in VT. I managed to get some pictures of Poppi hangin' with Will and Patrick before bedtime. They're wearing the new pajamas Poppi brought on his motorcycle all the way from Michigan. They symbolize Grammy being in the picture too. :) Grammy is a pair of football fleecy sleepers in these photos--keeping her babies cozy and warm! We had a wonderful visit with Poppi. He fits right into the daily life of the Sorenson family! Thanks for making the trip, Bill (Poppi). We miss you!
Will was welcomed to this world on Monday, July 28th, 2008. His brother Patrick was born March 11th, 2010! This blog is to help family and friends near and far see our babies grow!

Mommy and Patrick...almost 7 months old!
Our sick day (afternoon)
It was just me and Will for most of the day today...Patrick went to daycare, just in case I would have to take Will to the doctor. And so I could nap if given the opportunity (which I wasn't). I am a tired Mommy lately! Yikes. Anyway, Will went through a pretty happy period after getting home from picking up Patrick from daycare. Patrick is sitting up--still slumped over a bit--but mostly upright!
| Patrick is learning Will's ways...playing with non-toys is more fun, I guess! |
| Let me show you how to make as much noise as possible with two plastic cars, Patrick. Take them and then BANG them together over and over and over... |
Home sick
Will stayed home from "school" today, due to a fever. Poor guy. He just couldn't sleep last night, which is very much out of the norm...so we took his temp and it was 102 degrees. I stayed home with him today. We made a cozy spot with pillows and blankets on the floor and watched Curious George, Clifford, and Sesame Street. Unfortunately, he still has the fever, so Justin will stay home with him tomorrow. I snapped some photos when he went down for nap attempt #2 today. Nap #2 was a success, but boy did he look pathetic going into it!
Patrick loves to play...and sleep. :)
My little guy is on the move! He rolls from one of the living room to the other, and he loves to play on the floor. He's also doing the "army crawl," which makes me think he'll be crawling MUCH earlier than Will did (which was at at year old--quite late!). He's my little charmer, Mr. Patrick.
| The floor gym is interesting in new ways now. He likes to grab onto it and use it to help him sit up or get somewhere else. |

Patrick's 6 month stats...
Only two weeks late, here are Patrick James' stats from his six-month check up...
Weight: 14 lbs, 6 oz. (9 percentile--he's LITTLE!)
Height: 26.5 inches (not sure about percentile for this)
Head circumference=BIG...I have a big head too. So does Will. We are really smart!
He's growing, he's happy, and he's healthy. He had shots and only cried out briefly and was easily soothed. Very brave boy! We got the go ahead to try LOTS of new foods and he's loving it! So, it was all good news at the doctor.

Just another Saturday
I LOVE Saturday. It's my favorite day of the week. But, I just realized again today that my school blog is WAY more up to date than my personal blog. Bad, bad Mommy! And I spend a lot more time with my school kids than I do with my own kids. Yikes. But summer and vacations make up for that...somewhat. Anyway, I am now going to vow that whenever I post something on my school blog, I post something on my home blog too. I will do my best. Will and Patrick are both at very fun ages...Patrick can now sit up on his own (he only tips over a little bit), and Will is showing more interest in him daily. Here are some pics from this morning...
Patrick loves to hang out on his belly, so Will decided to join him. (I can't believe Will's in his motorcycle shirt AGAIN! Especially when we just got a box of new clothes from Grandma Chris...will change him after his nap and take new photos!)
Say "Cheese" and some new stuff!
Will got some hand-me-down shoes and wanted to try them on IMMEDIATELY! Obviously, they're a bit big now, since they fit over his footed PJs. :)
I really never thought a two year old would care much about a new lamp. But he does. Every time he wakes up, he points at his new lamp and curtains and says, "Nice." I guess that must be what I said when I hung the curtains. Will likes the cars and trucks on his lamp. So do I!
Will turned his lamp on and off about 100 times. I hope it lasts...the lamp, not the turning it on and off thing!
My silly boy
Will LOVES his blankets (the knitted and crocheted are his favorites...), and he loves dragging them around the house, Linus style. Lately, he's ended up in the kitchen, on the floor with his blanket while I make dinner. So sweet. He even wanted to do his drawing in the kitchen, but I think he got distracted by the sounds of the fridge! |
Will also loves this hooded towel. It's officially Patrick's, but Will likes to wrap up in it after his bath. He seems to like the idea of wearing a cape!
Silly kitty, a picnic, and sweet potatoes!
I'm not feeling too creative with my titles, can you tell? On September 12, our neighborhood had a picnic. It was cold and VERY windy that day, but we made the most of it. Peso followed us there. He loves to go on walks. Patrick LOVES eating, and it's fun to try new foods. Will gets a wee bit jealous of the attention Patrick gets when eating. Will has no interest in sitting in the high chair anymore, though, so the timing was perfect!
Silly kitty!
At the beach...9/19/10
We took our favorite local walk last weekend--down the bike path to Leddy beach. The water level is SO low right now, which made for fun little "islands in the water. We had fun hiking up our pants and walking way out into the lake!
This is Will's favorite shirt. He always wants to wear his "momo-tycle" shirt.
