Happy 4th of July!
I am sitting here in our sunny screened-in porch, drinking my decaf, and thinking about how things are really going to be different next summer! Justin and I live in a family-oriented neighborhood--manicured lawns, sidewalks, kids playing, two-car garages, the whole nine yards. In about 3o minutes, we will walk outside to cheer on the kids in the neighborhood bike parade and then will go to our lakeside community land for a BBQ. Next year, events like this will take on a whole new meaning...we'll be creating traditions with our new little one! It will be fun to have those good ol' 4th of July events like parades, BBQs, and firework displays be really exciting again. Alright, time to make my deviled eggs for the BBQ! Happy 4th, everyone!

all this talk about deviled eggs is making me hungry. please airmail a few of them to camp hancock STAT! mom is eating potato chips and all i can think about is how next summer she'll still be eating potato chips. life is a miracle and mom is going to have two babies velcro'd to her hips very soon!!! we'll have to dig two baby holes and get digger boy to fetch us snowcones and chili dogs. another thought -- has anyone ever tried the kids menu at main event? papa digger will try the burger basket, no onions. grilled cheese zijuatenayo style! and grandma chris: the lemon drop totties get checked at the door!
Sounds like fun! Traditions are good.
hehehehe!!! That Sar-mar.....what funny gals they be! Sounds like everyone's having a fun 4th...I know I am. won't be having no lemon drops while baby is velcro'd to me. :) I might just have to drive to Pentwater town and show you chicas how to toss 'em down. Enjoy your decaf, Erin...won't be long til you'll be joining in.
I'm off to the concession stand to get a bunch of sno-cones. Mom, I need some quarters...Wanna swim out to the buoys?
