Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Will's been really fussy lately--must be a growth spurt. Anyway, yesterday morning he was screaming and nothing I tried would soothe him. So I grabbed the nearest blanket, bundled him up tight, stuck a pacifier in his mouth, and put a hat on his head (it was chilly!). Then I plopped him in the carseat. Voila! Quiet baby. Didn't even have to get in the car. Thank goodness--it would have been hard to strap in this round little bundle! I kept calling him "Guillame"--french for William (because of the hat!).

Whenever I would try to get my brother's attention, I would call him 'Guillaume'. It was like our secret high priority code meaning, 'I need you to focus on me...like now!!' William is such a great name with so many spin off's for fun nicknames.

Congrats on Little Will! I've been checking out your blog. It's awesome. Kuddos on creative ways to calm the fussies. We're struggling with fussiness right before sleepy time, and she won't take a pacifier...argh. I'll have to try the Eskimo bunting :)

I like the straight-jacket swaddle. So does Will...future mental patient perhaps? After all, he does have my genes...right?
