Will continues the adventure of solid food. He now has had avocados, sweet potatoes, winter squash, and rice cereal. He loves them all, especially the sweet potatoes. Unfortunately the camera's battery died when he was eating those. It was messy and fun! This morning I was eating some delicious oatmeal, and Will looked a little jealous. So I mixed up some rice cereal for him to try. Pretty bland, but I think he liked the texture!
I know I've said this before, but if his eyes look funky in any photos, it's due to the red-eye correction feature on Picasa. He ALWAYS has red-eye in photos. Oh well.
Will is an eager participant in this eating thing... :-)
He locks his mouth tightly around the spoon and chews. It's pretty funny. I think he likes the rubbery texture of the spoon!
Yum! It looks like he's foaming at the mouth, but don't worry--that's rice cereal (whole grain, of course!)
Will loves his infant seat...it attaches to our counter-height barstools perfectly and works like a high chair, without adding an extra piece of furniture to our kitchen. OK, I guess I love it as much as Will. It gets him in on the action at our "bar". He loves banging these links around. Cause and effect--he lifts them up, and bangs them down and winces when he hears the loud noise! Then he does it all over again.

He's just so dang cute! Hey Will!! I'll mix you up one of my famous smoothies this summer. Blueberry. YUM!!!!! And yummy, messy juice bars. Then on to Dairy Queen.....
Little boy is now entering that really "cool stage" where everything is new and exciting! You just gotta love "the squeals", "the gnawing on spoons",and watching him consume"tasty morsels". It almost seems as if every day brings forth a new adventure for him. His story is unfolding before your very eyes, and ours, as we watch his journey.....

Hey, Erin, try black beans! At this age, you can just put a few on the high chair tray. They like picking things up as much as they like eating them. Good for the hand-eye coordination, and super nutritious too. They are soft enough for gumming and not a choking hazard. Bon appetit!
