I'm home sick today, and the house is so quiet it's almost creepy! I just realized that I haven't had a sick day since Will was born. I've been under-the-weather, but not sick enough to stay home. Will is at daycare, so I have time to heal.
Will recently went through some major changes! He sits up now without any help at all, and he doesn't topple over very much! He is just so darn proud of himself...it's so cute. He holds himself up very straight and looks all around--enjoying his new view. He's been sitting with some support for a long time, but just in the last week or two he's gained so much more strength.
Will is a VERY happy baby lately too. I think he's always been good-natured, but his mood lately takes it to a whole new level. He wakes up smiling, and he goes to sleep smiling too. It's so wonderful to put him down in his crib, sleepy but not asleep, and hear him "talk" himself to sleep with his cooing noises. He is the kind of baby that makes me rethink the plan to have two children...maybe more?
That being said, I think Will has two teeth about to break through...so cranky days may be just around the corner! For now, we'll just enjoy the smiles that light up his whole face anytime one of us walks in the room. Sometimes I'll feel that someone is looking at me, turn around, and there's Will in his Exersaucer, HUGE smile on his face.
Finally, Will LOVES food. Everything we give him, he chows it down with a vengeance! I hope, hope, HOPE he continues to be an adventurous eater. I have no patience for picky eaters. (A characteristic I'll have to change if he does turn out to be picky...). We just love such a variety of food around here!
OK, time to sleep. Here are some pictures from a week or so ago. I will take more in the next few days. He has honestly changed since these pictures were taken, believe it or not!
Much love. XOXO
Will's the master of the Exersaucer now, and he KNOWS it!
So what IS that thing you point at me all the time, Mom? And notice how well I sit up! (The pillow behind him is just in case!)
I LOVE my blankets...especially knitted blankies, so I can weave my fingers through the weave!)
Justin gave Will a "Faux hawk" after his bath recently. Too funny. His hair looked crazy the next day after sleeping on it like this!

I think I have a few photo's of Jutty when his hair looked like Will's. Only he was into gel! Now, looking at "baby boy" in his crib, surrounded by his blankey's, put a huge smile on my face. I can remember the day I wrapped them up for him! I hope he's still dragging them around, finding comfort in their softness and familarity down the road, or at least passing them on to his little brother/sister :)
sometimes when i am lonely and bored, i give myself a faux hawk.
that is one sweet little boy -- can i have him????
Erin,
What a handsome young man Will is! Amazing how his new expressions show his happy personality!! I miss him like crazy. We'll have to meet up with you all in Nashville during your break......
And speaking of "faux hawks", I think I'm the only one here who actually had a REAL mohawk cut, and let me tell you, it didn't work very well with the ladies back then.......
Love,
Poppi
