Will and the chicks

We hatched chicks in my first grade classroom, so it's been an exciting week. I also want to enter Will into a baby photo contest for a clothing company (Zutano). I just have to post a picture on their Facebook page of Will in a Zutano outfit. He's wearing part of the outfit here (minus the hat and booties on this 90 degree day!). I thought it would be perfect to pose him with a couple of our chicks, since it's a farm print outfit. A guaranteed winner, right? Not so much. He had a strange grimace on his face the whole time, as you'll see... but the pics are still kinda cute! I WILL try again. I'm determined to get some free baby clothes! :-) Might have to bring a chick home...

These are really cute! Very authentic. The things we do for Zutano. I think a live cow would really seal the deal :)

Dear Will,
Did you love petting the baby chicks? I can see by the pictures that you were very gentle with them.
How did mommy & daddy do today? Were they victorious in their race? I bet you were there to cheer them on. Someday, you might be a runner just like them. Until then, you enjoy movement at your own pace, even if it means crawling backwards.
I'm at Camp Hancock with your cousin Elliott. She just fell asleep after a long beach walk. It won't be long before you'll be here doing the same thing. I can hardly wait! It'll be your first visit, and we've sooooo many things to show you!
I love you baby boy. Nighty night.

Hello Little Boy!
Are you happy that Mommy & Daddy are home now for the summer? I'm certainly excited that you'll be on your way to see me soon! You and I? well, I'm gonna keep you busy cuz we have sooooooo many things to do together. Wanna go fishing off the pier? play volleyball, build a sandcastle, go to the casino? I know, I know, I've gotta save my money for snowcones!

Your Dad is celebrating his 1st Father's Day with you on Sunday, sooooooooo
I expect you to cook him dinner, wash his car,and give him a "wee" break from diaper duty! Got all that? Good boy, I knew I could count on you!
