Last week we went down to our neighborhood's common land to celebrate the start of our summer break! Will was in his PJs, but we let him stay up a little bit later just this one time! ;-)

Dear Will,
Today is Father's Day. Your Daddy's 1st official day into this amazing club. Though I do think, looking back, that when you were born on that warm and sunny July day, your dad's life took on new meaning. He held you tight, realizing that fatherhood is an honor and a privilege, and a journey that would take him miles. He stood a little taller, smiled a little brighter, and vowed to love you forever. He is your link to both the past and the present. Trust him and love him back like there's no tomorrow. Not only is he wise, he is a kind and gentle man, with a marvelous sense of fairness and humor. You, sweet baby, have fallen into amazing hands.
Trust me on this Will....he is the man for you.
I love you baby boy, now go fetch him his running shoes.....you've got places to go!
