Christmas in GR, Part II

Three generations--Mary, you should have been IN
this photo and it'd be FOUR generations!

As promised, here are more photos from our GR Christmas. We squeezed a lot in to just a few days! We were able to celebrate Christmas with Grammy, Poppi, Sarah, Rachel, (and Elliott, Hayden, and Kim--via Skype). We also got to see Barb and Joy and some extended family too--thanks, Barb, for a delicious dinner! It was a great visit, but the pictures say it best...
Hi, Aunt Sarah!

Juice boxes are a treat at Grammy's house!

Those remote control cars were a HIT!

Crazy boy!

All this fun is TIRING!

All we're missing is Kim!

The gang...minus Kim and Hayden. :-(

Love the tongue hanging out!

Go Blue!

Mama and the boys.

Love my sis-in-law!

Gift giving

Can you tell I like the vase?!

Fun chaos--handing out presents with Will convinced
that everything is for him!

No, this one is NOT yours, Patrick!

Angelic Will.

Mr. Mischief!

Poppi smiles big around his boys. :-)

Christmas cozies.

It almost fits!

Waking up with some coffee after a white-knuckle
drive from TC to GR! And no, the vacuum is NOT on!

So silly.

We miss you, Elliott!

Dear Will and Patrick,
Today is Sunday,January 29,2012.
It's snowing outside. I've just come in from running with Mookie & Abby, and while I was out there, I caught a glimpse of you in the window looking out at me. Ok, you're not really here today, but not too long ago, you were staring at me from inside as I played with the dogs. I miss you.
Today would have been a perfect day for the two of you to have been bundled up, making snow angels and catching snowflakes on your tongues!
It's funny how quickly time marches on. Everywhere I look today I see you. Chasing through the house, eating Frosted Flakes on the couch, tucked under a blanket, helping me make chocolate chip cookies, building a fort under the dining room table, reading bedtime stories on the aero bed, making friends with two reindeer, sneaking out of bed, while mom & dad were away, because you just wanted to hang out with me. You reconnected with your cousin Elliott on the computer, and scoured through hundreds of beach pictures while sitting on my lap.
Each and every picture told a story, many that you remembered!
The beauty of these letters to you.... is that the day will come when you'll read these words, and know how much you are loved.
I was giddy with excitment knowing that your family would make the journey to Michigan at Christmas, and now I'm giddy with excitment that we'll have Florida in the spring to look forward to!
So many moments yet to be shared. In the meantime, we'll continue to have our weekly phone calls, where you'll take me into some far corner of your world, and share the stories you've waited with baited breath to tell me. And me, I'll be on the other end, visualizing you hidden in a quiet place, thinking about your every word, and every laugh that reaches from your home to mine. You see, though miles separate us,I carry you with me everywhere....in my head, my heart, and my very being.
I love you more than you'll ever know.
