The Playroom (aka Sanity for Mom and Dad!)

So, we don't really like clutter. Just in case you didn't know. :-) And our house was caving in on us. Thank goodness for a couple of rainy days last week. Our living/dining rooms are now TOY FREE!!! The toys currently in circulation are now in the former nursery, which is now the playroom. Wahoo!!! The boys' bedroom houses books, beds, and stuffed animals. It's just plain lovely. A few toys have attempted to creep back into the living room, but the boys seem to understand the playroom is their home when they're done. Here are a couple not so great photos of a quiet play morning in the wee hours last week...

Dear Playroom,
Congrats! You've come a long way!
From freshly painted walls,to crayons, from pacifers to sippy cups, from rocking chairs to match box cars, from nightlights to latterns, from sweet lullabyes to books, from hand-knitted blankets to backpacks. In the beginning you housed a tiny little being, and then another.....you soothed two little babies in the confines of of your walls. Today, two little boys thank you for watching over them, as they rough & tumble in your space. Seasons come and go, and as your two little miracles grow, I sit back, knowing that many memories were made under your watchful eye. Thank you for letting me watch them silently nap, rock them under the window, change them, laugh with them, dance with them in my arms and comfort them........thank you for letting me share in your magic. You were created with love. Today, your love and devotion to Will & Patrick continues.......a nursery, a playroom.....you remain the same........a special place, where your walls hold many secrets, many memories. You and two little boys were meant to be together. Thank you for watching over my little boys. Only you could love them this much.
