We enjoyed another great beach day today, and it seems that Will might be a true beach baby! We brought our backpacking tent, and it provided shade and a perfect napping spot for Will. We were at the beach for over 4 hours, which is definitely a record amount of time for us to be at the beach with Will. Hooray! Don't worry--he was in the shade most of the time and wore lots of sunscreen! :-)
This is the path that goes down to one of our favorite beaches on the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore--Peterson Road Beach.
Will was very comfy in the beach chair!

4 stinky diapers, enough food for an army, playtime with the dogs, a bath (necessary to clean off the "dog kisses", and poop), and it's now nap time.....sleep well, little Will. Dream about mommy & daddy enjoying their day on a sunny northern beach, and a night under the stars in a cozy little tent. You on the other hand, will have the complete and uncomplicated attention of two adoring grandparents here at Camp Hancock! This is the first of many nights to come that we will find delight in your in your very existence.....

Baby Boy! What a day you had yesterday! I photographed every event so that mommy & daddy could see how you spent your 1st day/night without them! Let me tell you though, you were the "perfect house guest". You ate like a champ,slept like a prince,and played and laughed like the happy baby you are!
It was just a year ago that we sat on this porch waiting for the much anticipated phone call telling us that you had arrived,and now your 1st birthday is right around the corner! What a year you've had! And I want you to know that your mommy & daddy gave us the BEST gift ever......YOU!
