Patrick is 6 months old!

I can hardly believe it, but Patrick is already 6 months old. It was a gorgeous day here today--perfect day to mark a half year on this earth for Patrick James. We celebrated with lots of floor time in pajamas. What could be better? Patrick also enjoyed a 3-hour nap and went to bed at 8:30 pm. Sounds like great day to me! I do not have his latest stats, as his 6-month check up is on Tuesday. I do know he's a little guy--very different than Will was at this age. Patrick is very engaging with people--he smiles easily, likes to laugh (what a great sound that is!), and he's starting to babble A LOT! Lots of dadadada, bababababa, gagagaga sounds and raspberry noises. So fun! He's pretty content overall, though he does prefer being held over any other activity. He's getting good on the exersaucer and can roll over both ways very easily. He doesn't mind tummy time anymore and is starting to move forward on his stomach. I think this little guy wants to MOVE! Happy 1/2 birthday, Patrick! XOXOXO

Here are a few pics from this morning's floor time...

My dear, beautiful little boy....(the keeper of the fabulous blue eyes)
I think about you everyday!
Spending time with you in Michigan this summer was such a wonderful experience. Rocking, bouncing, cradling, smiling, laughing you... put a grin on my face, that spread from ear to ear. I will never get enough of you! You are my treasure........
From the baths in the sink to mouthfuls of cereal, walks in your stroller, and an occasional "he can sleep with me" moments....I thought life could never get better than this! You are "the gift" that makes me/us stand a little taller, smile a little brighter, and true believers in what family really means.
You will make this world a better place.....with that smile, charm, and blue-eyed gaze.....we will listen to, see, and marvel at all your accomplishments.....rolling over, walking, throwing a baseball.....and perhaps someday swimming with me to the raft....until I see you again....you are loved.
