I am not sure if I've ever blogged about my Dad's garage. If not, I should. And I should find a photo that shows more of it. In any case, the term "garage" does not do it justice. It's HUGE. Maybe bigger than our house. It's a garage, a woodworking shop, and a motorcycle/tractor/snowmobile storage place. It's pretty amazing! Will and Patrick (and Justin) love it. How could they not? It's chock full of mechanical, noisy things. Will's dream come true. For a boy who's always asking, "How dat work?" it's a mecca of wonder. Some amazing things have happened in this garage recently. Check it out...
| Motorcyle bonding time. It may not be my thing, but it makes me smile to see these guys (plus my dad) so happy around these machines. |
Now these are without question the most amazing thing to come out of this workshop in a while (well, at least to me they are). My dad made these name plates for both boys and for his other grandchildren (Jack and Ella) too. Dad asked if he could shorten Patrick's name to Pat. I said no. :-) I love these and can't wait to hang them. THANKS, Grandpa (that's Dad to me)!
The lift in the garage is pretty impressive to me too. Dad and Justin did two important jobs while we visited. First, our air conditioning in the car leaked to the inside and soaked the carpet. Yuck! They fixed the problem (at least we hope so) and we avoided a costly repair. Then, the boat trailer needed some repairs. Once again, the lift came in handy. Will and Patrick were duly impressed. :-)
